SGC MAC-200 for sale

The MAC-200 antenna tuner from SGC is a complete antenna control centre that is designed to stay in the shack, beside your transceiver. The unit is powered from any 12 - 15V DC source that can produce around 250mA. The built-in forward and reflected power meter has a switchable range of 0 - 20W or 0 - 200W. The built-in memory can remember the settings for each antenna, and so returning to a previously used frequency and antenna, means tuning takes a fraction of a second. For other frequencies a typical tuning time is 2 seconds. Antenna selection is by button press. Will handle almost any form of antenna; wire coax or balanced.

Newark Fleamarket on Friday 5 September

I am taking some “flea market” items to Newark on Friday. It is a one-day visit for me. There is some great kit but I am unlikely to use it at my current home so think it is prudent to pass it on to people who will have a use for it. Here is a list of items that might interest CDXC members:

All are used but have been dry stored and surplus to any future requirements at this shack.

For sale – two matched GU-74b valves. These were bought from Array Solutions in the USA a couple of months ago and come complete with a comprehensive test report from Jay. Ideal for Acom and OM amplifiers requiring two well-matched valves. Both have been carefully conditioned for 24h with stabilised filament voltage and adequate cooling.

Due to a change of plan I’m selling these for £740, which is the current sterling equivalent of the original dollar price of $1000. You get fine-quality valves from Array Solutions and avoid duty, VAT, Parcelforce’s admin fee and the lengthy shipping time..!

Tower cable grease

LE 1499 Monocal GP grease in 14.1oz cans. This is an extremely high performing US made grease that withstands severe conditions including exposure to water. It's used on oil rigs and was recommended by technical specialists. I've applied it to the cables on one of my towers and it is by far the best grease I have ever used. I had to make a minimum order, hence I have surplus to sell at £20 per can. One can should be enough for a tower.

The cans contain thick, waterproof grease and I used a narrow paint brush with a long handle to apply it to the cable. It took just over an hour.
